Valerie is a veteran gospel music singer. In fact, she not only performs gospel, but she is also a musical director at her church and at her school where she is the principal.

Influences: Valerie rates James Benton, the legendary bassist and her late husband, for having fostered her pursuit of music.  She also gives credit to the Lord for having given her talent and a means to express it.
Favorite Artist: Chaka Khan is Valerie’s favorite female vocalist because she loves the power and range of Chaka’s voice.
Greatest Asset: Without a doubt, Valerie’s greatest asset is her vocal power. She sings with such emotion and intensity that she blows her audiences out of their chairs and onto the dance floor.

Diana Edwards:
Lead Vocalist
Previous Groups:
“Nights in the City,” “Facsimile”

Influences:

Her father, Ed Flanders, was a notable sax player in Milwaukee WI. . Ever since she was a little girl, Diana knew that someday she would have a “gig” of her own.  Her mother also helped make her dreams of singing come true by the encouragement and funding of more than eight years of vocal training.

Favorite Artists: Chaka Khan (Val and Diana fight over who is her biggest fan! ), Patti La Belle, Regina Belle
Greatest Asset: Diana’s greatest asset lies in her ability to sing virtually any style, and sing it convincingly.  Diana can sing a version of R-E-S-P-E-C-T that could make Aretha Franklin proud, and then turn around and sing a mellow jazz standard like, “When Sunny Gets Blue,” with the beauty and sensitivity of Vanessa Williams.
